Pegasus
I went to the farmer’s market last week I was in line to pay for a fern When a small sweet older woman Gave me a Pegasus That she made from a faded yellow paper She had so many origami shapes My hand drifted picking up one at a time to see the beautiful detail she exerted My hand reached no where near the mythical creature she gave me And she insisted I have it without a dime I’ve been wondering ever since If it was one of her favorites to proudly show If it was a coincidence Or if she new I should have it I didn’t know much about this creature So I did some research This pure white winged strong horse Was created by the blood of Medusa’s neck after her passing At the stomp of his hoof on the Earth he created inspiring water for everyone to drink He represented wisdom, poetry, and inspiration Pegasus teaches bravery, courage, and using energy wisely This creature is a protector, and a giver I couldn’t have asked for a better creature to receive I’m not sure how he plays into my life yet Maybe it was to tell you about him so he’ll play into yours But I believe there are so many signs in this life guiding us along They might be coincidences But they might be exactly what we need To get to where we should be
